I finished writing The Inner Goddess Revolution two years ago. I found it an exhausting process from the trials and tribulations of working with a publisher to the discipline needed to actually write something longer than a blog post. My book was released last year to little fanfare and personal apathy from me (thank you depression, you sly old dog). But even through the book birthing process tired me, I knew I had more than one book to put out into the world. I’ve been trying to write my next book for 18-months and I have a pitiful, less than 10,000, word count to show for this time. I have declared, on more than one occasion, that I’m totally committed – writing cave, here I come! And then nothing. There are reasons why book number two is barely a glint in its mama’s eye. I lost my writing mojo and life has taken a turn from the online world to my local community. These are really excuses because if you truly want something then you find the time and motivation.
